The Pinoy fiesta was held last Easter Sunday. There were many people who came and it was a good start for the international cafe for the new fiscal year for me. We didn't have much time to prepare and yet it ended well, based on my standards, of course. I would like to thank all the Pinoys that came and helped in every way they could.
Just a short lesson, Pinoy is the Filipino word for "FIRIPINJIN". It is actually a term for male. For the women, we call them Pinay. The word Fiesta is a Spanish word meaning "MATSURI". The Filipino word is actually Pista, obviously derived from the Spanish word. The Philippines was colonized by the Spaniards for 300 years so many words we have was based on Spanish words. So that's a short information from me. See you at the coming international cafes!!!! The next will be in the third Sunday of June!!!!!!
